Bruno Wildhaber about the Economist Tech Frontiers Conference #techfrontiers What I've learned so far: - The Internet of things address space is bigger than the humans internet - EU Privacy its still deadlocked, no new concepts - Everybody supports the individual right but doesn't deliver solutions - 3D printing is the best thing I've seen so far - Virtual Choir was absolutely thrilling - Market Research is useless (Sir John Hegarty) - "Big Data" is the miserable try to challenge data deluge - Mobile is everywhere and smartphones can be used for almost everything! - Mobile payment schemes work in some countries, not in others and Kenya has 17 Mio.!!!! users of MPESA. But there was no way shown how the rest of the world could adapt it. - You can play music with Playdo and a Mac; watch the Video:http://web.media.mit.edu/~silver/makeymakey/ and load the MelodyMorph App. - Tom Standage can speak faster than a sicilian on olive oil
I WILL GO AGAIN! |
